Last year we had the legendary Aslan – who, it had to be said, went down a storm by the storm wall. This year it’s the turn of one of Ireland’s favourite singer-songwriters, Paddy Casey, to entertain the festival-going crowd on the Saturday evening.
Paddy will be backed by a full band and will take to the stage for our Big Free Gig at 9pm on Saturday 27th July, so make sure you’re there in plenty of time to witness for yourself one of the country’s most highly-respected performers live and free.
No stranger to the big time, Paddy has toured with and supported bands such as REM and U2, he’s made countless TV appearences and was even featured on ‘The Late Show with David Letterman’ on American TV.
He has twice won the accolade of ‘Best Irish Male Performer’ at the Meteor Irish Music Awards and in 2004 his multi-platinum album, Living, was the highest selling Irish album of the year, spawning such well-known hits as Saints and Sinners and The Lucky One.
We’re delighted to welcome Paddy and his band to Ardmore and we’re sure he’ll get a great turn-out on the night. So, tell everyone you know and bring them all along for what’s bound to be a very memorable gig. No booking needed. Just turn up on the evening.
