The Ardmore Pattern Festival Committee is delighted to announce that last Thursday night we won the ‘Overall Award’ at the County Waterford Community and Voluntary Awards Ceremony which took place in The Park Hotel, Dungarvan. The festival was shortlisted in the Arts, Culture and Heritage category, which it duly won before going on to take the much coveted overall prize.
The journey towards this Award began very humbly in 2007 when the modern Ardmore Pattern Festival was first revived. Having won the Arts, Heritage & Culture Award in 2010 the wait and the determination to win the Overall Community Forum Award began. The wait is over now and with the support of the community of Ardmore, our sponsors, our volunteers, our visitors, our Committee – past and present – we have achieved this wonderful success among our peers in County Waterford.
