Well, here we are. Festival Weekend is upon us. Free fun in what we hope will be plenty of sun – thanks to the great support of local businesses and individuals; thanks to everyone who bought tickets for our ticketed events; thanks to the Waterford Leader Partnership and all of our sponsors. Yup – it’s kicking off this evening folks. So make sure you’re in the festival square before eight to witness the one and only Gerry Humphreys take to the air in his ‘flying cow’ and perform some gravity defying stunts.
After Gerry’s performance, the McGilligan Brothers who have come all the way from Belfast to be with us will provide some top-class street entertainment. Followed by The Bon Jovi show – Ireland’s top Bon Jovi tribute. And then, of course, our fabulous firework display sponsored by The Cliff House Hotel.
It’s going to be a great night. So make sure you’re in Ardmore and in the Festival Square.
By the way – Blackrock Observatory are running their Star Dome Planetarium all afternoon in St Declan’s Hall, so do head along there sometime during the day, especially if you have any budding astronomers in the family.
